Yes. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has developed a new compliance program that measures the performance of individual motor carrier companies based on categories such as unsafe driving, fatigued driving, driver fitness, alcohol and drug violations and vehicle maintenance —all of which are factors that can lead to crashes and fatalities on the highways. The program will be rolled out in 2010.
